Itinerary
  • Day 1:

    Arrival in Bordeaux

    Welcome in Bordeaux

Welcome to Bordeaux, elegant city, capital of wine and an architectural gem!
Before arriving in our guest house or charming hotel, ideally located near the St Jean de Bordeaux train station or the city center, let yourself be tempted by a stroll through the beautiful streets of this city. Whether it is by going to see the water mirrors, the column of the Girondins or the market of the Capucins, take time to discover this marvel of the south west.
Your host will be able to advise you on possible visits, activities and restaurants not to be missed.
Your bike will be available from 7pm for a possible evening ride.

    Night in Bordeaux.

Suggestion 1: Overnight and extra day in Bordeaux
Enjoy a day in the sun of Bordeaux to discover the treasures of this city.
The city of wine, the restaurants of starred chefs, the Opera or the small shopping streets are waiting for you for unforgettable moments.

  • Day 2:

    From Bordeaux to Médoc

    Distance : 43 to 60 km

It's time to head for the wine route. Leaving the beautiful city of Bordeaux behind and following the Garonne River, you will discover a more rural and natural landscape. In front of you, the Médoc region, known for its exceptional wine and its great vineyards. From the "Haut-Médoc" with its intense, powerful and tannic wines to the "Bas-Médocs" and its more colorful wines that keep a softer taste in mouth, don't hesitate to let your oenological hedonism run free.

Night in the city of arrival.

  • Day 3:

From Médoc to Bourg sur Gironde

    Distance : 30km

After a night in a charming winery, you will head to the Blayais-Bourgeais region on the other side of the estuary. Once the ferry crossing is done, you just have to get back on your bike for a new day of escapades where many wineries are waiting for you. A few stops are to be expected if you do not want to miss the wines with notes of game, red fruits, spices and chocolate that characterize this region. Despite these somewhat unusual productions, the winegrowers' secrets of the most beautiful wine route do not stop there.

Night in the city of arrival.

  • Day 4:

From Bourg sur Gironde to Saint-Emilion

    Distance : 45km

Today is a day dedicated to the Libournais region. Of course, this name calls for two other emblematic ones: Pomerol and Saint-Emilion. On your way, take the time to admire the landscape that surrounds you: castles, rivers, alluvial terraces and vineyards as far as the eye can see. You will end up in Saint-Emilion, a medieval city where old bastides and its fortified enclosure constitute a picturesque heritage known throughout the world. On these lands your nose and your palate will be put to contribution to appreciate wines of a great variety.
Any wine tasting will also lead to the enjoyment of delicious food, which will complete an experience like no other.

    Night in the Saint-Emilion region.

Suggestion 2: Overnight and additional day in Saint-Emilion.
What could be better than another day spent in this prestigious place of the South-West? Here, culture, oenology and gastronomy come together to form a most pleasant stopover. Our favorites to visit: the medieval city, the Cordeliers cloister, the monolithic church and catacombs, the royal tower and the ursuline convent (the origin of the local specialty: macaroons). Of course, the vineyards surrounding the city are also a must-see.

  • Day 5:

    From Saint-Emilion to Cadillac

    Distance : 47 km

It's our last day in this little corner of paradise for wine lovers, with a new region on the agenda: the Entre-Deux-Mers and the discovery of sweet wines. We'd like to welcome you to Cadillac, a bastide town that has turned towards modernity while preserving its strong heritage. Known in particular for its ducal château, one of the earliest examples of French-style architecture, the region is full of historical gems just waiting to be discovered in the midst of vineyards offering breathtaking views over a calm green sea.

    Overnight in Cadillac.

  • Day 6:

    From Cadillac to Bordeaux

    Distance : 52 km

Today you leave Cadillac behind you and finish this tour of the grands crus in style with, in part, a new range of wines: dry whites made from Sauvignon and Semillon grapes. In the distance, Bordeaux again takes shape as you leave behind the relaxing seas of vines that surrounded the cycle path. Return to the city of wine, its secrets of history and its typical architecture.
